The Line: Tipitapa -- Over/Under:
Nicaragua U16 and Tipitapa meet Wednesday night in Torneo Carlos Ulloa Nicaraguan basketball action.
Nicaragua U16 look for a spark of consistency after splitting their last eight games. Nicaragua U16 is averaging 54.3 points on 34.8 percent shooting and allowing 71.6 points on 42.1 percent shooting. Pablo Buitrago Ortega is averaging 10.9 points, five turnovers and 3.2 assists while Angel Fernandez Alvarado is averaging 12.3 rebounds and 0.9 blocks. Keriel Davila is averaging 1.3 steals per game. Nicaragua U16 is shooting 20.1 percent from beyond the arc and 40.6 percent from the free throw line. Nicaragua U16 is allowing 20.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 43 rebounds per game.
Tipitapa look for another victory after winning seven of their last 10 games. Tipitapa is averaging 84.6 points on 50.4 percent shooting and allowing 77.2 points on 50.1 percent shooting. Harold Barberena is averaging 26 points, 3.1 steals and 3.2 assists while Roberto Rocha is averaging 10.8 rebounds, 3.9 turnovers and 0.8 blocks. Tipitapa is shooting 32 percent from beyond the arc and 61.3 percent from the free throw line. Tipitapa is allowing 24.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35.8 rebounds per game.
There's no match history between these two teams.
There was no line at the time this article was published and lines for Nicaraguan basketball seem to be coming out very late, so who knows when and if one will be released. With that said, Nicaragua U16 have been a feisty team over the last couple of weeks, and while they don't win every game, they compete hard and have some respectable losses in this league where a lot of the losses are complete blowouts. Tipitapa is the better team and has far better success on the offensive end, so if there's a line they should be heavily favored, but Nicaragua U16 is a team that hangs around and plays hard, and they took Rivas down to the wire after dominating the second half of their game.
It's hard to find a line for Nicaragua U16 games, but I'd take my chances with them in this contest if a line is released.
