Chunghua Telecom and Taipower meet Thursday morning in Taiwan WSBL basketball action.
Chunghua Telecom are coming off a blowout loss at the hands of Cathay Life on Wednesday morning. Chunghua Telecom is averaging 70.9 points on 43.5 percent shooting. Hsiang-Ting Huang is averaging 13.6 points and 9.6 rebounds while Qi Wen is averaging 12.4 points and 2.3 rebounds. Zi-Yin Pan is grabbing 3.5 rebounds and Qian-Hui Xu is dishing 3.7 assists. Chunghua Telecom is shooting 31.2 percent from beyond the arc and 76.8 percent from the free throw line. Chunghua Telecom is allowing 26.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 39.1 rebounds per game.
Taipower got beat up Wednesday night by Taiyuan. Taipower is averaging 53.4 points on 37.9 percent shooting. Chia-Wen Kuo is averaging 10.6 points and 3.6 rebounds while Ke-Shi Yu is averaging 9.3 points and 5.8 rebounds. Yizhi Xin is grabbing 4.3 rebounds and Xin-Yu Lai is dishing 2.2 assists. Taipower is shooting 24.8 percent from beyond the arc and 72.5 percent from the free throw line. Taipower is allowing 26.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 39.1 rebounds per game.
There's no match history between these two teams.
There was no line at the time this article was published and lines for WSBL basketball seem to be coming out very late, so who knows when and if one will be released. With that said, Chunghua Telecom appears to be the better basketball team in this contest with a more consistent offense and they looked better in their losing effort when breaking down both of these teams games on Wednesday night. Taipower have had scoring issues all season long and scoring no more than 16 points in any of their previous four quarters doesn't provide much confidence moving forward. If Taipower doesn't drastically improve their offensive issues, they're going to have a hard time finding any success in this league. In their last contest, Taipower scored a combined 42 points in their first three quarters and that's simply not good enough to get the job done.
I'll take Chunghua Telecom in a victory here and will update with odds when and if they're ever released.
