The Line: Taipower +37.5 -- Over/Under: 159.5
Cathay Life and Taipower meet Wednesday morning in Taiwan WSBL basketball action.
Cathay Life look for another victory to build on their four-game winning streak. Cathay Life is averaging 85 points on 49.3 percent shooting. Wei-An Chen is averaging 17.7 points and 6.6 rebounds while Yu-Ting Lin is averaging 15.3 points and 7.7 rebounds. Ling-Chuan Huang is the third double-digit scorer and Yi-Xiu Zheng is grabbing 6.1 rebounds. Cathay Life is shooting 33.4 percent from beyond the arc and 72.8 percent from the free throw line. Cathay Life is allowing 26.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 28.5 rebounds per game.
Taipower look for a feel good victory to rebound from a rough 0-4 start. Taipower is averaging 53.4 points on 37.9 percent shooting. Chia-Wen Kuo is averaging 10.6 points and 3.6 rebounds while Ke-Shi Yu is averaging 9.3 points and 5.8 rebounds. Yizhi Xin is grabbing 4.3 rebounds and Xin-Yu Lai is dishing 2.2 assists. Taipower is shooting 24.8 percent from beyond the arc and 72.5 percent from the free throw line. Taipower is allowing 26.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 39.1 rebounds per game.
These two met a couple of days ago and Cathay Life won by 28 points, outscoring them in all four quarters. Cathay Life had a nine-point lead after the first quarter and cruised the rest of the way.
Cathay Life is obviously the better team in this matchup and the fact they just beat Taipower by 28 points a couple of days ago gives good reason why this line is so massive. However, it's tough to beat the same team twice in such a short span, and it's going to be even tougher to blow that team out in back-to-back contests. There's a talent gap between these teams and the resumes don't match up, but this is simply a ton of points to leave on the table. Taipower also just held their own against Taiyuan, their best effort yet, so we've seen some improvement lately.
Give me Taipower and the boatload of free points.
