Taipower and Taiyuan Textile meet Saturday morning in Taiwan WSBL basketball action.
Taipower look for another victory after losing five of their last six games. Taipower is averaging 53.4 points on 37.9 percent shooting. Chia-Wen Kuo is averaging 10.6 points and 3.6 rebounds while Ke-Shi Yu is averaging 9.3 points and 5.8 rebounds. Yizhi Xin is grabbing 4.3 rebounds and Xin-Yu Lai is dishing 2.2 assists. Taipower is shooting 24.8 percent from beyond the arc and 72.5 percent from the free throw line. Taipower is allowing 26.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 39.1 rebounds per game.
Taiyuan Textile look for a statement victory after splitting their last six games. Taiyuan Textile is averaging 62.7 points on 44.7 percent shooting. Hsiao-Tong Peng is averaging 10.3 points and 3.8 rebounds while Ching Cho is averaging 10.2 points and 3.6 rebounds. Pei-Chen Tsai is grabbing 7.6 rebounds and Jun-Yi Liu is dishing 1.4 assists. Taiyuan Textile is shooting 32.2 percent from beyond the arc and 78.3 percent from the free throw line. Taiyuan Textile is allowing 26.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 39.1 rebounds per game.
Taiyuan Textile won the last two meetings, including a game last week that they won by four points. Taiyuan Textile won both meetings by an average of 13 points.
Taipower are coming off a solid win over Chunghua Telecom where they dominated the second half, winning the final two quarters by a combined 18 points. The problem is it was the first victory for Taipower, a team that's had consistent issues on the defensive end and has also had issues scoring when playing above average teams in this league. Taiyuan Textile has been hit or miss through six games, but they usually win the games they're supposed to win and they've done well in the past bouncing back from a loss. Taiyuan Textile should be eager for a bounce back performance after getting dragged their last time out against Cathay Life.
For obvious reasons I'm going to back Taiyuan Textile, and I'll update with a line once one is released.
