Nes Ziona and Hapoel Eilat meet Sunday afternoon in Israel Super League basketball action.
Nes Ziona look for a victory here to snap a five-game losing streak. Nes Ziona is averaging 84.6 points on 53.9 percent shooting and allowing 88.4 points on 51.3 percent shooting. Cameron Oliver is averaging 18.8 points and one assist while Daequan Cook is averaging 15.4 points and 4.7 rebounds. JP Tokoto is the third double-digit scorer and Corey Fiher is grabbing two rebounds. Nes Ziona is shooting 31.6 percent from beyond the arc and 67.8 percent from the free throw line. Nes Ziona is allowing 35.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35.9 rebounds per game.
Hapoel Eilat look for a win after splitting their last six games. Hapoel Eilat is averaging 83.3 points on 52.4 percent shooting and allowing 85.4 points on 53.1 percent shooting. Devon Scott is averaging 26 points and one assist while Terrence Watson is averaging 21 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Caroline is the third double-digit scorer and Rayvonte Rice is grabbing 4.9 rebounds. Hapoel Eilat is shooting 36.7 percent from beyond the arc and 67.3 percent from the free throw line. Hapoel Eilat is allowing 31 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35.4 rebounds per game.
Hapoel Eilat has won three of the last five meetings against Nes Ziona, which includes a 14-point victory in overtime back in late June.
Nes Ziona hasn't won a game since March and is coming off a contest against Hapoel Tel-Aviv where they lost by 30 points and were badly outscored in all four quarters. Hapoel Eilat have been a little hit or miss since the return, but they've shown serious potential on the offensive side and just beat Nes Ziona in overtime where they outscored them 14-0 in the extra period. Nes Ziona is not a team I'm looking to get behind in their current form, as they have to show some signs of life first.
I'm going to side with the more consistent team and lay the bucket with Hapoel Eilat.
