Taipower and Chunghua Telecom meet Tuesday morning in Taiwan WSBL basketball action.

Taipower could use a feel good victory here to snap a rough four-game losing streak. Taipower is averaging 53.4 points on 37.9 percent shooting. Chia-Wen Kuo is averaging 10.6 points and 3.6 rebounds while Ke-Shi Yu is averaging 9.3 points and 5.8 rebounds. Yizhi Xin is grabbing 4.3 rebounds and Xin-Yu Lai is dishing 2.2 assists. Taipower is shooting 24.8 percent from beyond the arc and 72.5 percent from the free thitem line. Taipower is allowing 26.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 39.1 rebounds per game. Chunghua Telecom could also use a feel good victory after losing 11 of their last 14 games. Chunghua Telecom is averaging 70.9 points on 43.5 percent shooting. Hsiang-Ting Huang is averaging 13.6 points and 9.6 rebounds while Qi Wen is averaging 12.4 points and 2.3 rebounds. Zi-Yin Pan is grabbing 3.5 rebounds and Qian-Hui Xu is dishing 3.7 assists. Chunghua Telecom is shooting 31.2 percent from beyond the arc and 76.8 percent from the free thitem line. Chunghua Telecom is allowing 26.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 39.1 rebounds per game.

Chunghua Telecom have won three of their last four meetings against Taipower, including the last two meetings, which were decided by a combined 11 points. Taipower did beat Chunghua Telecom on May 14, and they ended up winning that game by 17 points.

It’s hard to make a case for either of these teams in their current form, so I’m certainly not looking to lay points with either of these clubs. Taipower is coming off a game where it scored just 36 points and lost by 62 points. Chunghua Telecom has owned the h2h history, but it’s also a team that’s scored under 70 points in each of its last three games and has won just three games since May 10. And while the h2h history is a bit one-sided, the last two meetings were decided by an average of just 5.5 points.

I may end up regretting this later, but I’d lean toward Taipower and the free points if forced to pick this contest.
