The Miami Heat and Utah Jazz meet Saturday in NBA preseason action at HP Field House.

The Miami Heat look for another exhibition victory after already beating the Sacramento Kings. The Miami Heat are averaging 112.2 points on 47 percent shooting and allowing 108.9 points on 44.7 percent shooting. Jimmy Butler is averaging 20.2 points and 6.6 rebounds while Bam Adebayo is averaging 16.2 points and 5.1 assists. Goran Dragic is the third double-digit scorer and Kendrick Nunn is dishing 3.4 assists. The Miami Heat are shooting 38.3 percent from beyond the arc and 77.8 percent from the free thitem line. The Miami Heat are allowing 34.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 44.6 rebounds per game.

The Utah Jazz look for a bounce back performance after getting upset by the Phoenix Suns. The Utah Jazz are averaging 111 points on 47.5 percent shooting and allowing 107.9 points on 45.2 percent shooting. Donovan Mitchell is averaging 24.2 points and 4.2 assists while Bojan Bogdanovic is averaging 20.2 points and 4.1 rebounds. Jordan Clarkson is the third double-digit scorer and Rudy Gobert is grabbing 13.7 rebounds. The Utah Jazz are shooting 38.3 percent from beyond the arc and 77.2 percent from the free thitem line. The Utah Jazz are allowing 35.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 45.1 rebounds per game.

The Utah Jazz didn’t look good at all in their losing effort against the Phoenix Suns and had trouble keeping up with a younger team that wants to push the pace offensively. Of course, not having Bojan Bogdanovic, their second leading scorer, on the court doesn’t help a Jazz team that’s had issues finding easy half court offense anyway. The Miami Heat are completely healthy now with the return of Adebayo and Nunn, and they’re another team that shoots a million threes and can bury opponents rather quickly. In their Wednesday victory over the Kings, the Heat made 14 of 44 threes, and we should expect a better performance from Tyler Herro as he starts to get his legs under him. The Heat just have too much offense and young guys for the Jazz to keep up.

I’ll back the Heat and whatever the line is in this one.
