The San Antonio Spurs play host to the Dallas Mavericks at the AT&T Center on Friday night.

The Dallas Mavericks have been in decent form as they’ve split their first 14 games of the season and they will be looking to build some momentum after stopping a three-game skid with a 124-112 road win over the Pacers on Wednesday. Kristaps Porzingis led the team with 27 points, 13 rebounds and four assists on 12 of 15 shooting, Trey Burke added 22 points off the bench, Luka Doncic racked up a triple-double of 13 points with 12 rebounds and 12 assists while Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jalen Brunson each scored 19 points. As a team, the Mavericks shot 52 percent from the field and eight of 27 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 37 points in the first quarter, before pulling away from a close contest with their defense by holding the Pacers to just 20 points in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in pretty good form lately as they’ve won six of their past nine games, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting routed by the Warriors in a 121-99 road loss on Wednesday. Dejounte Murray led the team in scoring with 22 points on nine of 16 shooting, DeMar DeRozan added 15 points while Keldon Johnson chipped in with 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Spurs shot just 37 percent from the field and a miserly four of 33 from the 3-point line as they came out flat and quickly found themselves trailing by 19 points going into halftime. Patty Mills finished with just six points on three of 11 shooting, LaMarcus Aldridge finished with just four points on two of eight shooting while Lonnie Walker finished with just three points on one of six shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Mavericks are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games, 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a win and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Spurs are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games as an underdog and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games following a loss of more than 10 points.

Head to head, the under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings overall, the Mavericks are 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall and the Mavericks are 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings in San Antonio.

The Mavericks haven’t quite been at their best as they had lost three straight before their solid win over the Pacers on Wednesday, but Doncic has been putting up nightly triple-doubles to keep the team above water and it’s only a matter of time that they start to heat up with Porzingis back in action. The Spurs were on a nice roll before a sloppy start cost them a game against the Warriors in their last outing, so they’ll be eager to bounce back here. The Mavericks are 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings in San Antonio and I think that trend continues here as the Mavericks win in a close one.
