The Denver Nuggets and the Dallas Mavericks collide at the American Airlines Center on Monday night.

The Denver Nuggets have been in great form as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games and they will be gunning for a fourth straight win after outlasting the Suns in a 120-112 double overtime win on Saturday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 29 points, 22 rebounds and six assists, Jamal Murray added 26 points with five assists, Jeff Green scored 16 points while Michael Porter Jr. chipped in with 14 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. As a team, the Nuggets shot 41 percent from the field and 15 of 36 from the 3-point line as they forced overtime thanks to a 3-pointer from Murray with just 0.2 seconds left, before taking control of the second overtime with a pivotal 13-4 run to escape with the impressive win.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting routed by the Rockets in a 133-108 loss on Saturday. Luka Doncic led the team with 26 points and eight assists, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Boban Marjanovic each scored 15 points while Trey Burke chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Mavericks shot 44 percent from the field and a miserly five of 25 from the 3-point line as they allowed 38 points in the first quarter to fall behind by double-digits early, before getting outscored by 34-24 in the third quarter to fall behind by as many as 27 points in a one-sided affair. Kristaps Porzingis was rested for this game, but he is listed as probable for Monday.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nuggets are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a win and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Mavericks are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following a double-digit loss at home, 5-1 ATS in their last six games as an underdog and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Head to head, the Nuggets are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and the Nuggets are 3-7-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Dallas.

The Nuggets endured a slow start to the season, but they’re suddenly one of the form teams of the league after a couple of impressive overtime wins on the road over the Suns. The Mavericks are still dealing a long list of injuries, but they’ll likely have Porzingis back on the court which is a major boost for the Mavericks. It’s tempting to take the Nuggets in this one, but the Mavericks are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following a double-digit loss at home and I think they’re going to bounce back here. Give me the Mavericks to get the job done in a close one.
