The Minnesota Timberwolves invade the Chase Center to do battle with the Golden State Warriors on Monday night.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been doing it tough all season as they’ve lost 11 of their first 15 games, but they will be hoping to build some momentum after snapping a four-game skid with a 120-110 home win over the Pelicans on Saturday. Naz Reid led the team in scoring with 20 points on five of 10 shooting, Anthony Edwards added 18 points while Jarrett Culver, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt each scored 16 points. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 42 percent from the field and 12 of 34 from the 3-point line, but this win was about their defense as they were always in control after holding the Pelicans to just 14 points in the penultimate third quarter.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have split their first 16 games, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting routed by the red-hot Jazz in a 127-108 road loss on Saturday. Stephen Curry led the team with 24 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, James Wiseman added 15 points while Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 13 points, but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Warriors shot 45 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line as they never looked threatening at all after allowing the Jazz to pour in 77 points in the first half. The Warriors actually trailed by as many as 40 points in this one, before making a late rally in the fourth quarter to keep the final score respectable.

Looking at the betting trends, the Timberwolves are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a road underdog. The Warriors are 3-11-2 ATS in their last 16 games as a favorite and 16-35-1 ATS in their last 52 games as a home favorite.

Head to head, the under is 27-10 in the last 37 meetings overall and the Timberwolves are 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Golden State.

The Timberwolves have really struggled this season, so it was good to see them get back in the win column against the struggling Pelicans in their last outing. The Warriors are in a bit of a rut themselves as they’ve lost two in a item, but it just feels like they should be able to turn it around sooner rather than later. The Timberwolves are 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Golden State and I think that trend continues as the Warriors should be too good at home in this one.
