The Portland Trailblazers invade the Toyota Center to do battle with the Houston Rockets on Thursday night.

The Portland Trailblazers have been searching for consistency lately as they’ve lost three of their last five games and because their last game was postponed, they haven’t seen the court since their 125-122 loss to the Thunder on Monday. Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons each scored 26 points, Carmelo Anthony and Gary Trent Jr. each scored 22 points while Enes Kanter chipped in with 13 points, 23 rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Trailblazers shot 46 percent from the field and 14 of 41 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and quickly found themselves trailing by double-digits for most of the game, until the fourth quarter where their rally came up short.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets struggled early on in the season, but they’re suddenly aiming for a fourth straight win after taking down the Wizards in a 107-88 home win on Tuesday. John Wall led the team with 24 points and five assists, Victor Oladipo and Eric Gordon each scored 20 points while DeMarcus Cousins chipped in with 19 points, 11 rebounds and five steals. As a team, the Rockets shot just 42 percent from the field and 12 of 37 from the 3-point line as they struggled against the pesky Wizards for three tight quarters, before running away with it in the fourth quarter where they outscored the Wizards by 32-18 to win easily in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Trailblazers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, 2-6 ATS in their last eight games as an underdog and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Rockets are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games as a favorite.

Head to head, the under is 7-2 in the last nine meetings overall and the Trailblazers are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall.

The Trailblazers will be eager to get back on the court to atone for their upset loss to the Thunder in their last outing but they will once again be shorthanded for this one as CJ McCollum continues to sit out. The Rockets have finally found some form after a slow start to the season, but they are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games. This should be a close one, but the Trailblazers will be well-rested for this one and they are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall, so that’s where I’m going in this one.
