The Chicago Bulls play host to the New York Knicks at the United Center on Thursday night.

The New York Knicks have been in fine form as they’ve won three of their first four games and they will be hoping to stay hot after snapping a 15-game losing streak against the 76ers in a 112-99 home win on Tuesday. Kemba Walker led the team in scoring with 19 points and five assists, Evan Fournier added 18 points, Julius Randle racked up 16 points with 11 rebounds and seven assists while Derrick Rose chipped in with 13 points off the bench. As a team, the Knicks shot 47 percent from the field and 16 of 37 from the 3-point line but this win was all about their play in the second quarter where they outscored the 76ers by 39-16 to turn a six-point deficit into a 27-point lead. The Knicks played fantastic defense to keep the 76ers’ Joel Embiid to just 14 points on two of seven shooting while really kept the 76ers in check the entire game.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in red-hot form as they will be looking to build on their current four-game win streak after outlasting the Raptors in a 111-108 road win on Monday. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 26 points and six assists, Zach LaVine added 22 points with five assists, Nikola Vucevic scored 17 points while Lonzo Ball chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Bulls shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 27 from the 3-point line as they took control of the game with 37 points in the second quarter, before having to rally in the final minutes after seeing their 20-point lead cut to just two points late in the fourth quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games as an underdog and 14-5 ATS in their last 19 road games. The Bulls are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games, 8-0 ATS in their last eight games as a favorite and 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall and the Knicks are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.

The Knicks are starting to look like the team we saw from last season and they’ll take so much confidence from their big win over the 76ers on Tuesday. Randle has continued to lead the team on offense, Fournier has looked like a perfect fit in their lineup while Rose is still rock-solid coming off the bench. However, the Bulls have quickly emerged as one of the rising teams in the league as they’re still undefeated after four games. Ball, Vucevic and DeRozan have all looked great so far with their new teams while LaVine looks to be in midseason form despite playing through a torn ligament on his non-shooting hand. These two teams could easily meet in the playoffs and they know it, so I’m expecting this one to go down to the wire. You can make an argument for either side here, but I’m sticking with the new-look Bulls to stay hot with a narrow win at home.
