The Houston Rockets pay a visit to the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedExForum on Monday night.
The Houston Rockets have been ice-cold so far as they’ve lost 12 of their first 13 games and they will be hoping to snap an 11-game losing streak after getting routed by the Suns in a 115-89 home loss last night. Christian Wood led the scoring with 17 points, Kevin Porter Jr, Jalen green and Eric Gordon each scored 12 points while Alperen Sengun chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Rockets shot just 41 percent from the field and seven of 32 from the 3-point line as they hung tough in the first half, before getting blown out in the second half by 64-35 as they just had no answer for the Suns’ starters.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been stuck in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last five games and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game slide after falling short against the Pelicans in a 112-101 road loss on Saturday. Dillon Brooks led the team with 23 points, Ja Morant racked up 22 points with nine rebounds and 10 assists while Steven Adams chipped in with 15 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 43 percent from the field and eight of 24 from the 3-point line as they failed to match the intensity of the Pelicans at the start and got burned, falling behind by as many as 22 points before they were able to find their footing. Jaren Jackson Jr. had a night to forget as he finished with just four points, one of eight shooting.

The Rockets have been the worst team in the league so far and their confidence took another hit last night after getting run off the floor by the Suns in the second half. The Grizzlies have been dealing with their own struggles as they’ve been well below their best and just lost to one of the worst teams in the Pelicans. The line seems very hefty for a Grizzlies team that isn’t playing well at the moment, but the Rockets are in worse form and they’re playing on zero days’ rest. This looks like a good spot for the Grizzlies to get back in the win column.
