The Boston Celtics and the Phoenix Suns duke it out at the PHX Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Boston Celtics have been in decent shape lately as they’ve won four of their last seven games and they will be looking to build some momentum after outlasting the Clippers in a 119-115 road loss on Friday. Jayson Tatum led the team with 34 points on 12 of 27 shooting, Kemba Walker added 24 points with four assists, while Carson Edwards chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Celtics shot 47 percent from the field and 16 of 38 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and quickly found themselves trailing by as many as 16 points, before taking control in the third quarter where they outscored the Clippers by 38-20 to take a 10-point lead. It wasn’t easy from that point as the Celtics had to rally once again as they closed the game on an 8-3 run in the final 46 seconds to escape with the win.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been on a nice run lately as they’ve won four of their last five games and they will be looking to stay hot after routing the Pistons in a 109-92 home win on Friday. Devin Booker led the team with 23 points on eight of 14 shooting, Chris Paul added 20 points with nine assists while Frank Kaminsky chipped in with 15 points on five of seven shooting. As a team, the Suns shot 49 percent from the field and 12 of 32 from the 3-point line as they took a 13-point lead at halftime, before pushing the lead out to as many as 23 points in a comfortable win.

Looking at the betting trends, the Celtics are 24-9 ATS in their last 33 games as an underdog, 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Suns are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 home games, 14-4 ATS in their last 18 games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Phoenix, the Celtics are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Phoenix and the Celtics are 5-16 ATS in the last 21 meetings overall.

Jaylen Brown sat out on Friday due to left knee soreness and he has been ruled out for Sunday, so the Celtics will once again rely heavily on Tatum and Walker to pick up the slack. The Suns have started to heat up lately and they will be feeling good after their dominant win over the Pistons, but another win here would do wonders for their confidence. The Celtics are only 5-16 ATS in the last 21 meetings overall and the Suns are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 home games. With that being said, I’m leaning towards the Suns to get the win and cover in this one.
