The Sacramento Kings play host to the Philadelphia 76ers at the Golden 1 Center on Tuesday night.
The Philadelphia 76ers have been in terrific form lately as they've won eight of their past 10 games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Nets in a 124-108 home win on Saturday. Joel Embiid led the team with 33 points on 10 of 21 shooting, Tobias Harris added 21 points, Ben Simmons racked up 16 points with 12 rebounds and eight assists while Shake Milton chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the 76ers shot 51 percent from the field and 10 of 27 from the 3-point line as they got off to a solid start with 34 points in the first quarter, before taking control of the game in the third quarter where they exploded for 43 points to lead by as many as 19 points.
Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in great form themselves as they've won seven of their past eight games and they will be gunning for a season-high fifth straight win after outlasting the Clippers in a 113-110 road win on Sunday. De'Aaron Fox led the team with 36 points and seven assists on 15 of 25 shooting, Buddy Hield added 22 points while Tyrese Haliburton chipped in with 13 points and six assists off the bench. As a team, the Kings shot 48 percent from the field and 10 of 29 from the 3-point line as they fought hard to hang with the Clippers in a tight contest, until the final 5:54 where Fox took over with 12 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the 76ers are 14-35-3 ATS in their last 51 road games, 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games overall. The Kings are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record, 2-6 ATS in their last eight games as a home underdog and 8-0 ATS in their last eight games overall.
Head to head, the 76ers are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall and the 76ers are 10-2 ATS in the last 12 meetings in Sacramento.
We're in for a good contest here as both teams are coming into this one with plenty of momentum. The 76ers have emerged as title contenders during their impressive run, while the Kings have quietly been playing their best basketball of the season. I would take the Kings if we were getting more free points, but with the line so short, I'm sticking with the 76ers to get the win and cover in a close one.
