The Charlotte Hornets and the Utah Jazz duke it out at the Vivint Arena on Monday night.

The Charlotte Hornets have been in decent form as they’ve won four of their past six games and they will be looking to build some momentum after sneaking past the Warriors in a 102-100 home win on Saturday. Terry Rozier led the team with 36 points on 12 of 19 shooting, PJ Washington added 15 points while Gordon Hayward chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Hornets shot 49 percent from the field and 20 of 40 from the 3-point line as they battled with the Warriors in a close contest, before escaping with the narrow win behind a clutch off-balance jumper at the buzzer from Rozier who finished with his fourth straight 30-point game. LaMelo Ball had a quiet game of seven points with seven assists on three of 10 shooting.

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have been in red-hot form as they’ve won 20 of their last 22 games, but they will be hoping to bounce back after having their nine-game win streak snapped by the Clippers in a 116-112 road loss on Friday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 35 points and five assists, Bojan Bogdanovic added 23 points on eight of 11 shooting, Jordan Clarkson scored 19 points off the bench while Mike Conley chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Jazz shot 47 percent from the field and 12 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off a slow start and were trailing for most of the game, but they looked to have momentum in the game until the Clippers went on a pivotal 13-2 run to escape with the narrow win.

Looking at the betting trends, the Hornets are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games, 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 games against a team with a winning record and 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Jazz are 12-1 ATS in their last 13 home games, 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 games against a team with a losing record and 21-5 ATS in their last 26 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 8-1 in the last nine meetings in Utah, the Hornets are 2-10-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Utah and the Hornets are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall.

The Hornets have been in decent shape lately thanks largely to the hot hand of Rozier and they will take plenty of confidence from their hard-fought win over the Warriors on Saturday. However, the Jazz have been the benchmark of the league all season and they will be keen to bounce back after suffering a rare loss in their last outing. The line seems a little hefty, but the Hornets are just 2-10-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Utah and I think that trend continues here as the Jazz should be too strong.
