The Minnesota Timberwolves invade the Fiserv Forum to take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.

The Minnesota Timberwolves started their season with two straight wins, but they are now looking to bounce back after falling short to the Pelicans in a 107-98 home loss on Monday. Karl-Anthony Towns led the team with 32 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists and two blocks, Anthony Edwards added 28 points with nine rebounds and three assists while Patrick Beverley chipped in with 13 points off the bench. As a team, the Timberwolves shot just 34 percent from the field and 15 of 50 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going early, scoring just 19 points in the first quarter which meant they were trailing all the way in this one. D’Angelo Russell had a night to forget as he scored just nine points on three of 14 shooting while Malik Beasley finished with just five points on one of eight shooting off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in fine form so far as they’ve won three of their first four games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after taking down the Pacers in a 119-109 road win on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 30 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and two blocks, Khris Middleton added 27 points with seven assists while Grayson Allen chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Bucks shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 32 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 34 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before pouring in 35 points in the third quarter to push the margin out to 18 points in the third quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Timberwolves are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven road games and 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a loss. The Bucks are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games, 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 7-1 ATS in their last eight games overall.

Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Timberwolves are 4-11 ATS in the last 15 meetings overall and the Timberwolves are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Milwaukee.

The Timberwolves will be disappointed that they drop a game against the shorthanded Pelicans after beating them just a couple nights prior, but they won’t have time to dwell on their mistakes against the Bucks who have looked great in three of their four games so far. The Bucks are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games, while the Timberwolves are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Milwaukee, so I’m taking the Bucks to stay hot here with another win and cover.
