The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Houston Rockets collide at the Toyota Center on Monday night.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were really struggling for a stretch there as they had lost 10 games in a row, but they look to have moved on from that as they’re now aiming for a fourth straight win after outlasting the 76ers in a 112-109 overtime road win on Saturday. Collin Sexton led the team with 28 points on 11 of 27 shooting, Darius Garland added 25 points with nine assists, while Jarrett Allen chipped in with 14 points and 10 rebounds. As a team, the Cavaliers shot just 42 percent from the field and eight of 24 from the 3-point line as they squandered a 13-point lead, before they made up for their mistakes in the overtime period where they never trailed again after scoring the first five points.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been in terrible shape as they will be hoping to put an end to an ugly 11-game skid after getting routed by the Grizzlies in a 133-84 home loss last night. John wall and Jae’Sean Tate each scored 14 points, David Nwaba scored 11 points while Mason Jones chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Rockets shot a season-worst 27 percent from the field and four of 45 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start with just 18 points in the first quarter and never looked threatening after going behind by 26 points at halftime. John Wall shot just four of 16 from the field, Ben McLemore scored just seven points on two of 10 shooting, Danuel House Jr. scored just five points on two of 11 shooting while Eric Gordon scored just five points on one of 10 shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Cavaliers are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 road games and 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Rockets are 0-4 ATS in their last four home games, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games playing on zero days’ rest and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 11-5 in the last 16 meetings in Houston, the Cavaliers are 3-11 ATS in the last 14 meetings in Houston and the Cavaliers are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Cavaliers were in terrible form before winning their last two games and they would’ve taken so much confidence from their overtime win over the red-hot 76ers, while the Rockets are mired in an 11-game skid and they just hit a new low after last night’s 49-point loss to the Grizzlies. I expect the Rockets to respond with a better effort after what we saw last night, but I don’t think it will be enough as the Cavaliers come away with the win in this one.
