The Orlando Magic play host to the Atlanta Hawks at the Amway Center on Wednesday night.

The Atlanta Hawks have been in decent shape as they’ve split their last eight games and they will be looking to build some momentum after last night’s 94-80 road win over the Heat. Trae Young led the team with 18 points and 10 assists, John Collins added 17 points, Clint Capela scored 10 points with 17 rebounds while Kevin Huerter chipped in with 16 points and five assists. As a team, the Hawks shot 47 percent from the field and 13 of 36 from the 3-point line, but this win was all about their defense as they set the tone by holding the Heat to just 17 points in the first quarter, before running away with it in the fourth quarter where they held the Heat to just 14 points.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have lost eight of their last 12 games and they will be hoping to arrest a four-game slide after getting stopped by the Mavericks in a 130-124 home loss on Monday. Nikola Vucevic led the team with 29 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists, Evan Fournier added 26 points while Michael Carter-Williams and Terrence Ross each scored 18 points. As a team, the Magic shot 49 percent from the field and a healthy 20 of 41 from the 3-point line, but that still wasn’t enough to hang with the Mavericks as they trailed by as many as 18 points, before pouring in 38 points in the fourth quarter in a late rally.

Looking at the betting trends, the Hawks are 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games playing on zero days’ rest and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Magic are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 7-20-1 ATS in their last 28 games as a home underdog.

Head to head, the under is 37-17 in the last 54 meetings overall, the Hawks are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Orlando and the Hawks are 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.

The Hawks will be full of confidence coming into this one after holding the Heat to just 80 points in last night’s win, while the Magic have struggled lately but hold the advantage of an extra days’ rest. I want to believe that the Magic are good enough to take advantage here, but the Hawks are clearly the team in better form and I think they can keep it going with another road win here.
