The San Antonio Spurs and the Milwaukee Bucks meet at the Fiserv Forum on Saturday night.

The San Antonio Spurs have been in a rut as they will be hoping to put an end to a four-game slide after getting stopped by the Mavericks in a 104-99 road loss on Thursday. Dejounte Murray led the team with 23 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, Bryn Forbes added 15 points off the bench while Jakob Poeltl and Lonnie Walker each scored 14 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 44 percent from the field and 12 of 30 from the 3-point line as they took the early 20-point lead after holding the Mavericks to just 15 points in the first quarter, before falling away in the fourth quarter where the Mavericks used a pivotal 16-6 run to deliver the Spurs a fourth straight loss.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have won three of their first five games, but they will be aiming to bounce back after falling just short to the Timberwolves in a 113-108 home loss on Wednesday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 40 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks, Khris Middleton added 16 points while Grayson Allen chipped in with 13 points, but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Bucks shot just 41 percent from the field and 14 of 51 from the 3-point line but their problems were on the defensive end as they were always in trouble after allowing the Timberwolves to explode for 44 points in the first quarter. Pat Connaughton had a night to forget as he scored just six points on two of 11 shooting in place of the injured Jrue Holiday.

Looking at the betting trends, the Spurs are 16-6-1 ATS in their last 23 road games and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games playing on one days’ rest. The Bucks are 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games, 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall.

Head to head, the over is 8-0 in the last eight meetings overall, the Spurs are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings in Milwaukee and the Spurs are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Spurs have been in a rut lately as they’ve lost their last four games, but they looked to be in control against the Mavericks until they went cold in the fourth quarter on Thursday. The Bucks begun their season with three wins from four before getting upset by the Timberwolves at home, but they haven’t played since Wednesday, so they will be the fresher team in this meeting. The Bucks are still shorthanded, but they still have more than enough firepower to get the win here, but I think the value is with the Spurs and the points with this line.
