The Portland Trailblazers travel to the Amway Center to take on the new-look Orlando Magic on Friday night.

The Portland Trailblazers have been in great form as they’ve won eight of their past 12 games and they will be looking to stay hot after outlasting the Heat in a 125-122 road win last night. CJ McCollum drained six 3-pointers on his way to 35 points and eight assists on 14 of 25 shooting, Damian Lillard added 22 points with nine assists, Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points off the bench while Enes Kanter chipped in with 18 points and 16 rebounds. As a team, the Trailblazers shot 47 percent from the field and 20 of 46 from the 3-point line as they rallied back from a 10-point deficit, before going to Lillard who drew the foul and drained the game-winning free throws with just 1.0 second remaining to steal the game late.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have been in a real slump as they’ve lost 11 of their past 13 games, but they will be looking to build some momentum after outlasting the Suns in a 112-111 home win on Wednesday. Nikola Vucevic led the team with 27 points, 14 rebounds and four assists, Evan Fournier added 21 points while Chuma Okeke chipped in with 17 points on six of six shooting off the bench. As a team, the Magic shot 46 percent from the field and 13 of 37 from the 3-point line as they trailed by 13 points early in the game and by five points in the fourth quarter, before stealing the game on a clutch layup from Fournier with just 6.4 seconds remaining.

Looking at the betting trends, the Trailblazers are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days’ rest and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games overall. The Magic are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record.

Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Trailblazers are 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and the Trailblazers are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Orlando.

The Trailblazers have been playing great basketball and will take so much confidence from last night’s thrilling comeback win, especially McCollum who poured in 29 points in the first half alone. The Magic have really struggled lately as they’ve lost 11 of their past 13 and they just shipped away their three key players at the trade deadline. The Trailblazers are 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and I think that trend continues as the shorthanded Magic struggle again.
