The Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Clippers do battle at the Staples Center on Saturday night.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been on fire lately as they’ve won 10 of their past 11 games and they will be looking to build on their current four-game win streak after taking down the shorthanded Lakers in a 109-101 road win on Thursday. Danny Green drained eight 3-pointers to lead the team with 28 points on nine of 14 shooting, Seth Curry added 19 points in his first game back from injury, Tobias Harris scored 17 points with five assists while Ben Simmons chipped in with nine points, seven rebounds and 12 assists. As a team, the 76ers shot 48 percent from the field and 17 of 45 from the 3-point line as they took control of the game in the third quarter where they outscored the Lakers by 35-17 to build an 18-point lead, before holding on for the narrow win as their lead was cut to just three late in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have started to heat up with five wins in their last six games and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after routing the Spurs in a 98-85 road win on Thursday. Reggie Jackson led the team with 28 points and four assists, Paul George added 24 points with 13 rebounds and four assists on 10 of 28 shooting, while Ivica Zubac chipped in with 10 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks. As a team, the Clippers shot just 38 percent from the field and 13 of 34 from the 3-point line, but this win was about their defense as they trailed at halftime, before coming to life in the second half where they held the Spurs to just 30 points to come away with the impressive win.

Looking at the betting trends, the 76ers are 16-34-3 ATS in their last 53 road games, 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Clippers are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall.

Head to head, the under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall, the 76ers are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Los Angeles and the 76ers are 9-0 ATS in the last nine meetings overall.

The 76ers have been one of the hottest teams in the league lately and they haven’t allowed the injury to Joel Embiid slow them down as plenty of players have picked up the slack in his absence. The Clippers are starting to heat up themselves and they looked great defensively in their last outing where they held the Spurs to just 85 points. I can see why the Clippers have opened as favorites at home, but the 76ers are 9-0 ATS in the last nine meetings overall and I think they’re good enough to pull off the minor upset here.
