Los Angeles Clippers vs Orlando Magic NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 3/30/21

The Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Orlando Magic at the Staples Center on Tuesday night.

The Orlando Magic have been in a real slump as they’ve lost 13 of their past 15 games and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling painfully short to the Lakers in a 96-93 road loss on Sunday. Dwayne Bacon led the team with 26 points and eight rebounds, Chuma Okeke added 14 points with six rebounds and three assists while Mo Bamba chipped in with 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks off the bench. As a team, the Magic shot just 38 percent from the field and 11 of 33 from the 3-point line as they rallied back from a 13-point deficit to take the lead midway through the fourth quarter, before the Lakers responded with a pivotal 9-1 run to allow them to steal the game late.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in red-hot form as they’ve won eight of their past 10 games and they will be looking to build on their current six-game win streak after blowing past the Bucks in a 129-105 home win last night. Marcus Morris led the team with 25 points, Kawhi Leonard added 23 points with nine rebounds and eight assists, Luke Kennard scored 21 points while Reggie Jackson chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the Clippers shot 53 percent from the field and a sizzling 19 of 34 from the 3-point line as they fell behind by 12 points in the first quarter, before dominating the rest of the way as they exploded for 39 points in the second quarter before restricting the Bucks to just 19 points in the fourth quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Magic are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record, 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games against a team above .600 and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Clippers are 8-0 ATS in their last eight games playing on zero days’ rest, 5-0 ATS in their last five home games and 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the under is 18-7-2 in the last 27 meetings overall and the Magic are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Magic have really been struggling lately with all their roster changes, but they showed plenty of fight in their narrow loss to the Lakers on Sunday, while the Clippers are looking like the hottest team in the league after making light work of the Bucks last night without their second best player in Paul George who sat out with a sore foot. This is a classic case of two teams headed in opposite directions and I know which team I’d rather have my money on. Give me the Clippers to stay hot with another win and cover here.
