The Los Angeles Lakers play host to the Milwaukee Bucks at the Staples Center on Wednesday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been in decent shape as they’ve won six of their past 10 games and they will be aiming for a third straight win after sneaking past the struggling Magic in a 96-93 home win on Sunday. Dennis Schroder led the team with 24 points and six assists, Kyle Kuzma added 21 points with 11 rebounds and four assists while Montrezl Harrell chipped in with 18 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks off the bench. As a team, the Lakers shot just 41 percent from the field and 11 of 40 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble when they trailed in the fourth quarter, until going on a pivotal 12-1 run to escape with the narrow win.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have won 13 of their past 17 games, but they will be hoping to put an end to an ugly three-game skid after getting thrashed by the shorthanded Clippers in a 129-105 road loss on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 32 points on 10 of 21 shooting, Jrue Holiday added 24 points with seven assists while Khris Middleton chipped in with 15 points, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Bucks shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 38 points in the first quarter to take an early 12-point lead, before getting completely outplayed the rest of the way as the balanced scoring of the Clippers proved too much to handle.

Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 1-7 ATS in their last eight road games, 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall. The Lakers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, 1-5 ATS in their last six games as an underdog and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.

Head to head, the under is 4-0 in the last four meetings overall and the Bucks are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Lakers have been able to keep their heads above water despite playing without LeBron James and Anthony Davis as they’ve won their last two games, but I’ll be shocked if they can keep it going against the Bucks who will be desperate to get back into the win column after dropping three straight. The Bucks are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and I think they can snap out of their funk with a big win in this one.
