Denver Nuggets vs Orlando Magic NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 4/4/21

The Orlando Magic and the Denver Nuggets duke it out at the Ball Arena on Sunday night.

The Orlando Magic have been in decent form as they’ve split their last six games, but they will be looking to bounce back here after getting completely destroyed by the Jazz in a 137-91 road loss on Saturday. Wendell Carter Jr. led the team with 19 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks, Chuma Okeke added 16 points while Desmond Bacon chipped in with 13 points on five of 15 shooting. As a team, thee Magic shot just 36 percent from the field and a miserly two of 23 from the 3-point line as they never really lookeed competitive in this one after falling behind by 38 points going into halftime. Terrence Ross scored just 12 points on two of 11 shooting while Mo Bamba shot just one of five.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in great form as they’ve won 13 of their past 16 games and they will be looking to build on a current four-game win streak after taking down the Clippers in a 101-94 road win on Thursday. Jamal Murray led the team with 23 points on nine of 18 shooting, Michael Porter Jr. added 20 points, Will Barton scored 19 points while Aaron Gordon and Nikola Jokic each scored 14 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot 48 percent from the field and 13 of 25 from the 3-point line, but it was their defense that was the difference in this game as they were always in control after holding the Clippers to  just 20 points in the first quarter to take the early double-digit lead.

Looking at the betting trends, the Magic are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days’ rest and 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall. The Nuggets are 8-17-1 ATS in their last 26 games against a team below .400 and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall.

Head to head, the Magic are 0-3-1 ATS in the last four meetings in Denver and the Magic are 7-18-3 ATS in the last 28 meetings overall.

The Magic had won two games in a row before getting demolished by the Jazz last night, while thee Nuggets are coming into this one with plenty of momentum after winning four straight. I expect the Magic to come out firing after getting embarrassed last night, but they’re just running into the wrong team as the Nuggets have been red-hot and haven’t played since Thursday. The line is hefty, but I think the Nuggets should still win comfortably here.
