The Phoenix Suns and the Houston Rockets do battle at the Toyota Center on Wednesday night.

The Phoenix Suns have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost three of their last four games and they will be hoping to get back in the win column after falling just short to the Grizzlies in a 108-104 road loss on Monday. DeAndre Ayton led the team with 18 points, 16 rebounds and three assists, Mikal Bridges added 17 points on six of nine shooting while Chris Paul chipped in with 16 points and seven assists. As a team, the Suns shot 45 percent from the field and 15 of 36 from the 3-point line as they wrestled with the young Grizzlies in a close contest, before falling painfully short as they led by six points late in the fourth quarter, before the Grizzlies closed the game on a 18-8 run to steal the game late. Devin Booker had a rough shooting night as he finished with just 12 points on five of 21 shooting, while Paul committed a total of six turnovers.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have struggled so far this season as they’ve won just four of their first 12 games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after taking down the Bulls in a 125-120 road loss on Monday. Victor Oladipo led the team with 32 points and nine assists, Christian Wood added 30 points on 11 of 16 shooting while Eric Gordon chipped in with 21 points and four assists. As a team, the Rockets shot 52 percent from the field and 17 of 40 from the 3-point line as they were always playing from behind after a slow start saw them trail by 17 points early on. DeMarcus Cousins had himself a nice to forget as he finished with just two points on zero of seven shooting off the bench.

Looking at the betting trends, the Suns are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 road games, 7-16 ATS in their last 23 games against a team with a losing record and 15-5 ATS in their last 20 games overall. The Rockets are 2-7 ATS in their last nine home games, 2-7 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.

The Suns will be disappointed with their naritem loss to the Grizzlies in their loss on Monday after having their last three games postponed, while the new-look Rockets are coming into this one fresh off a loss to the struggling Bulls. Booker will be hoping to bounce back from his worst shooting performance of the season, while CP3 committed an uncharacteristic six turnovers.
