The Detroit Pistons pay a visit to the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Monday night

The Detroit Pistons have been in rough shape as they’ve lost six of their past eight games and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting thrashed by the Knicks in a 125-81 home loss on Saturday. Jerami Grant led the team in scoring with 16 points, Hamidou Diallo added 14 points off the bench while Cory Joseph chipped in with 10 points, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Pistons shot just 35 percent from the field and nine of 28 from the 3-point line, but this game was over before it began as the Pistons were already trailing big after allowing the Knicks to explode for 41 points in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a slump as they’ve lost five of their last six games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss after getting embarrassed by the Trailblazers in a 133-85 road loss on Saturday. Kenrich Williams led the team in scoring with 18 points off the bench, Thomas Bradley added 14 points on six of eight shooting while Moses Brown chipped in with 10 points and 14 rebounds. As a team, the Thunder shot just 35 percent from the field and eight of 34 from the 3-point line as they fell behind big after scoring just 19 points in the first quarter and things went from bad to worse in the third quarter where they were outscored by 39-13 to trail by as many as 52 points. Aleksej Pokusevski scored just eight points on three of 13 shooting while Theo Maledon scored just seven points on one of 12 shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a losing record and 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a double-digit loss at home. The Thunder are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games against a team below .400 and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.

Head to head, the under is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings overall and the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Oklahoma City.

Two of the league’s coldest teams collide here as the Pistons have lost six of their last eight and are coming in fresh off a 44-point loss, while the Thunder have now lost five of their last six overall after getting blown out by 48 points on Saturday. The Pistons have been struggling to get consistent contributions other than Jerami Grant, while the Thunder have struggled with injuries as Luguentz Dort, Darius Bazley and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander have all been ruled out. I won’t be watching this game, but the Pistons are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and I think they can escape with the win here.
