The Washington Wizards and the Phoenix Suns do battle at the PHX Arena on Saturday night.
The Washington Wizards have been in decent shape as they’ve split their last eight games and they will be hoping to build on a two-game win streak after sneaking past the Warriors in a 110-107 road win last night. Rui Hachimura led the team in scoring with 22 points on nine of 16 shooting, Bradley Beal and Robin Lopez each scored 20 points while Russell Westbrook tallied a triple-double of 19 points with 14 rebounds and 14 assists. As a team, the Wizards shot 48 percent from the field and a miserly five of 19 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 12-point lead, before escaping with the narrow win thanks to a clutch 4-point play from Beal with just 6.1 seconds remaining.
Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in great form as they’ve won 10 of their past 12 games, but they will be looking to bounce back after having their seven-game win streak halted by the Clippers in a 113-103 road loss on Thursday. Devin Booker led the team with 24 points, Mikal Bridges added 20 points, DeAndre Ayton scored 18 points with 10 rebounds while Chris Paul chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Suns shot 50 percent from the field and a miserly six of 24 from the 3-point line as they poured in 33 points in the second quarter to tie the scores at halftime, but their inefficiency from deep cost them in the fourth quarter where they managed just 22 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Wizards are 24-8 ATS in their last 32 games playing on zero days’ rest and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team above .600. The Suns are 24-9 ATS in their last 33 home games and 41-18 ATS in their last 59 games overall.

The Wizards have come to life with a couple of wins on the trot and they would’ve taken so much from last night’s thrilling win over the Warriors, especially Beal who scored the team’s last six points to carry them over the line. The Suns have been one of the most consistent teams all season, they’ve won 10 of their past 12 and are 24-9 ATS in their last 33 home games. I’m sure the Suns will win this one comfortably, but I think the Wizards hang around long enough to get the cover.
