The Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers battle it out in Game 7 at the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday night.

The Atlanta Hawks will be looking to bounce back after falling just short to the 76ers in a tough 104-99 loss in Game 6 on Friday. Trae Young led the team with 34 points, 12 assists and three steals, Kevin Huerter added 17 points with 11 rebounds and four assists, Danilo Gallinari scored 16 points off the bench while Clint Capela chipped in with 14 points and 11 rebounds. As a team, the Hawks shot 41 percent from the field and 10 of 31 from the 3-point line as they got off to a hot start and took an early 12-point lead, before getting run down in the third quarter where they allowed the 76ers to explode for 33 points to fall behind by as many as 11 points. Young did his best to carry the team despite dealing with a banged up shoulder, but he got next to no help from his teammates as John Collins scored just seven points on two of eight shooting while Lou Williams finished scoreless on zero of five shooting in just 11 minutes off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers needed to come out swinging to keep their season alive and they did just that in a hard-fought win on Friday. Tobias Harris and Seth Curry each scored 24 points, Joel Embiid added 22 points with 13 rebounds and two blocks while Tyrese Maxey chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the 76ers shot just 40 percent from the field and 12 of 29 from the 3-point line, but with 1:59 left on the clock and the team leading by just one point, the 76ers closed the game on a 10-6 run to allow them to escape on free throws. Ben Simmons had a quiet night of just six points with nine rebounds and five assists as he played just 25 minutes.

Looking at the betting trends, the Hawks are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games, 8-0 ATS in their last eight Sunday games and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The 76ers are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 home games, 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a winning record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Hawks are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Philadelphia and the Hawks are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Hawks have been inspirational in the way they’ve been able to push the 76ers to the brink in this series, but you can’t help but shake the feeling that they missed out on their best chance to close out the series in Game 6 at home. With the series now shifting back to the Wells Fargo Center, the momentum is clearly with the 76ers who were able to keep their season alive despite a quiet night from Simmons who played just 25 minutes. The 76ers have to be the favorites at home, but I think it would be foolish to completely count the Hawks out of this one. Four of the six games in this series have been decided by five points or fewer and I think we’re in for another close one here, so I’m taking any points I can get.
