The Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Staples Center on Wednesday night.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are starting to heat up now as they will be aiming for a third straight victory after upsetting the Nuggets in a 99-87 road win on Monday. Kevin Love led the team in scoring with 22 points on eight of 13 shooting off the bench, Jarrett Allen racked up 21 points with 16 rebounds on 10 of 11 shooting while Collin Sexton chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 46 percent from the field and seven of 25 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and took the early lead, before pulling away in the fourth quarter where the margin ballooned to 17 points.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers will be looking to build some momentum after stopping a two-game skid with a 116-86 home win over the Trailblazers on Monday. Luke Kennard led the team with 23 points on eight of 10 shooting off the bench, Reggie Jackson added 18 points with five rebounds and four assists while Paul George chipped in with 16 points, five assists and eight steals. As a team, the Clippers shot 47 percent from the field and 14 of 43 from the 3-point line as they held the Trailblazers to just 17 points in the first quarter to take an early double-digit lead, before exploding for 35 points in the third quarter to put the game to bed early. Jackson had a rough shooting night as he made just six of 20 from the field and three of 15 from the 3-point line while Eric Bledsoe finished with just five points on two of eight shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Cavaliers are 8-24 ATS in their last 32 road games, 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 16-35-1 ATS in their last 52 games as an underdog. The Clippers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games as a favorite, 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 games following a win of more than 10 points and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall.

Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Cavaliers are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings in Los Angeles and the Cavaliers are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Cavaliers are starting to emerge as a young and dangerous rebuilding team who can surprise any team on any given night, but the Clippers are clear favorites at home, especially after the way they dismantled the Trailblazers on Monday. The line seems slightly hefty, but the Cavaliers are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings in Los Angeles and I think that trend continues here as the Clippers win by double-digits.
