The Los Angeles Lakers travel to the Paycom Center to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers have split their first four games so far and they will be looking to stay hot after outlasting the Spurs in a 125-121 overtime road win last night. Anthony Davis led the team with 35 points, 17 rebounds, four assists and four blocks, Russell Westbrook added 33 points with 10 rebounds and eight assists while Malik Monk chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Lakers shot 47 percent from the field and eight of 30 from the 3-point line as they rallied back from a 12-point fourth quarter deficit to force overtime where they held the Spurs to just seven points to escape with the win. LeBron James sat out the game with a sore right ankle and his status for Wednesday is unclear.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder are still searching for their first win of the season after four attempts, so they will be hoping for a better effort after last night’s 106-98 home loss to the Warriors. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team in scoring with 30 points on 11 of 19 shooting, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl added 12 points while Luguentz Dort chipped in with 11 points, but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Thunder shot just 41 percent from the field and 12 of 34 from the 3-point line as they came out firing and took a 11-point lead going into halftime, before getting completely blown out in the third quarter where the Warriors outscored them by 33-17.

Looking at the betting trends, the Lakers are 5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on zero days’ rest and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 road games. The Thunder are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 5-13 ATS in their last 18 home games.

Head to head, the Lakers are 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and the Lakers are 4-11 ATS in the last 15 meetings in Oklahoma City.

The Lakers are clearly the more talented team so they’re obvious favorites on the road in this one, but they’re playing on zero days’ rest and just had to battle the Spurs in an overtime road win last night. I don’t have any confidence in the Thunder pulling off the upset here, but if Gilgeous-Alexander can get a bit of support from his teammates, I think they can hang around and keep this to single digits.
