The Sacramento Kings and the Phoenix Suns do battle at the Footprint Center on Wednesday night.

The Sacramento Kings will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting routed by the Warriors in a 119-107 home loss on Sunday. Harrison Barnes led the team with 24 points on seven of 13 shooting, Donovan Mitchell added 22 points off the bench, De’Aaron Fox added 17 points with six assists while Richaun Holmes chipped in with 16 points and 11 rebounds. As a team, the Kings shot 48 percent from the field and 15 of 46 from the 3-point line as they hung with the Warriors in a close contest until the second half where they were outscored by 59-45. Buddy Hield had a night to forget as he scored just six points on two of 11 shooting off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost two of their first three games and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting completely blown out by the Trailblazers in a 134-105 road loss on Saturday. Devin Booker led the team in scoring with 21 points, Mikal Bridges and Elfrid Payton each scored 14 points while JaVale McGee chipped in with 12 points, but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Suns shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 28 from the 3-point line, but they let themselves down on the defensive end as there was no coming back after falling behind by 67-47 going into halftime. DeAndre Ayton scored just eight points while Chris Paul finished with just four points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 36-17 ATS in their last 53 games as a road underdog. The Suns are 5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on three or more days rest, 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss of more than 10 points and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Phoenix and the under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings overall.

The Kings are the obvious road underdogs here, but they’re capable of escaping with the win if players like Fox and Hield and bounce back with big games here. The Kings are also 4-0 ATS in their last four road games, but the Suns were absolutely embarrassed by the Trailblazers in their last outing and they have an extra days’ rest, so I’m sticking with the Suns to come out firing and bounce back in fine fashion.
