The Portland Trailblazers and the Sacramento Kings duke it out at the Golden 1 Center on Wednesday night.
The Portland Trailblazers are starting to heat up now as they’ve won five of their past six games and they will be eager to build on their current four-game win streak after blowing past the shorthanded Nuggets in a 119-100 home win last night. CJ McCollum led the team with 32 points on 13 of 19 shooting, Damian Lillard added 25 points and five assists on nine of 13 shooting while Norman Powell chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Trailblazers shot 51 percent from the field and 15 of 39 from the 3-point line as they took control of the game with an 18-3 run to close the first half, before holding the Nuggets to just 21 points in the fourth quarter to make it a blowout. The most telling stat of the night was that the Trailblazers outscored the Nuggets by 32-4 in points off turnovers.
Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost eight of their past nine games and they will be hoping to put an end to a four-game slide after getting stopped by the 76ers in a 102-94 home loss on Monday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 23 points, Buddy Hield drained five 3-pointers to finished with 21 points and nine rebounds off the bench while Richaun Holmes chipped in with 18 points on eight of 10 shooting. As a team, the Kings shot just 41 percent from the field and seven of 31 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control after pouring in 30 points in the third quarter, but they went ice-cold in the fourth quarter where they scored just 12 points to allow the 76ers to escape with the win.
Looking at the betting trends, the Trailblazers are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 road games and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Kings are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.
Head to head, the over is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall and the Trailblazers are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Sacramento.

The Trailblazers are starting to build some momentum now with four wins on the trot and it’s because they’re starting to play better defense as we saw in last night’s win over the Nuggets. Contrastingly, the Kings are coming into this game riding a four-game losing streak and they just lost to a depleted 76ers team who were missing three of their best players. The Trailblazers have been rock-solid at home, but they have only won one of their eight road games so far, which is a concern. With that being said, I can’t back the Kings in their current form, so I’m sticking with the Trailblazers who are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Sacramento.
