The Atlanta Hawks and the San Antonio Spurs collide at the AT&T Center on Wednesday night.
The Atlanta Hawks have been building nicely as they will be looking to add to their five-game win streak after blowing past the shorthanded Thunder in a 113-101 home win on Monday. Trae Young led the team with 30 points and six assists on nine of 20 shooting, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kevin Huerter each scored 13 points while John Collins chipped in with 11 points and five assists. As a team, the Hawks shot 48 percent from the field and 14 of 34 from the 3-point line as they poured in 67 points in the first half to take the early lead, before holding the Thunder to just 11 points in the third quarter where the lead ballooned to 22 points. Six players finished in double figures in scoring, and they committed just seven turnovers as a team.
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in a real slump as they’ve lost eight of their past 10 games and they will be hoping to put an end to a five-game slide after falling just short to the surging Suns in a 115-111 home loss on Monday. Derrick White led the team with 19 points on eight of 17 shooting, Dejounte Murray racked up a triple-double of 18 points with 10 rebounds and 11 assists while Jakob Poeltl chipped in with 15 points and nine rebounds. As a team, the Spurs shot 52 percent from the field and a miserly five of 20 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and trailed by as many as 18 points, before exploding for 36 points in the fourth quarter to make it interesting late.
Looking at the betting trends, the Hawks are 6-18 ATS in their last 24 road games, 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games following a win of more than 10 points and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Spurs are 1-4 ATS in their last five games as an underdog and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the Hawks are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Hawks struggled at the start of the season, but they look to be in a groove now after making light work of the Thunder on Monday for their fifth straight win. Contrastingly, the Spurs have really struggled to get going this season and they are coming into this one riding a five-game losing streak after Monday’s loss to the Suns. The Hawks are a team on the rise and I think they represent decent value with the short line in this one.
