The Detroit Pistons and the Phoenix Suns collide at the Footprint Center on Thursday night.

The Detroit Pistons have been in a real slump as they’ve lost nine of their past 11 games and they will be hoping to snap a seven-game slide after getting thrashed by the Trail Blazers in a 110-92 road loss on Tuesday. Cade Cunningham led the team with 26 points on 10 of 13 shooting, Isaiah Stewart added 15 points with 14 rebounds while Jerami Grant chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Pistons shot just 38 percent from the field and nine of 35 from the 3-point line as they hung with the Trail Blazers in the first half, trailing by just six points at halftime before going ice-cold in the third quarter where they scored just 17 points to trail by as many as 26 points. Trey Lyles scored just five points on two of eight shooting while Saddiq Bey finished with just two points on one of nine shooting.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been the hottest team in the league as they have now won 17 in a row after taking down the Warriors in a 104-96 home win on Tuesday. DeAndre Ayton led the team with 24 points and 11 rebounds on 11 of 19 shooting, Chris Paul steered the offense with 15 points, 11 assists and five steals while Jae Crowder chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Suns shot 49 percent from the field and 12 of 30 from the 3-point line, but this win was more about their defense as they held the Warriors to just 19 points in the second quarter to take the lead at halftime, before restricting them to just 18 points in the fourth quarter to keep their win streak alive. The win came at a cost though, as Devin Booker played 15 minutes before pulling up with a hamstring injury which will keep him on the sidelines for a few games.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a loss of more than 10 points and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a winning record. The Suns are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games, 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games following a win and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games overall.

Head to head, the Pistons are 26-9 ATS in the last 35 meetings overall and the Pistons are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings in Phoenix.

The Suns have had targets on their backs for a while now as everyone wants to be the team to snap the win streak, but they’ve taken down all comers and are clear favorites in this spot. The Pistons haven’t been able to get anything going in their last 11 games and their confidence took another hit after getting blown out by the Trail Blazers on Tuesday. The Suns are banged up as they will be without Devin Booker, but I think we’ll big games from Chris Paul and Mikal Bridges as the Suns run away with it in this one.
