Ex-Pats vs. AfterShocks
July 16, 2021 9:00 pm EDT

AfterShocks and Ex-Pats open up their TBT tournament with an opening-round game on Friday at Koch Arena. The winner of this entire tournament will take home $1 million dollars.

AfterShocks took a year off, but they are back in the TBT, and there is plenty of reason for optimism for this team. This is a team that is made of mostly Wichita State Alumni and this game will be played on their home court. Conner Frankamp is the star of this team, and he is going to be key from deep.

AfterShocks also has key players like Markis McDuffie, Darral Willis, and Samaje Haynes-Jones who are going to be a big part of this team. This is a team that has already sold out an Arena in 2019, and the expectation shouldn’t be any different this year. They need to use the home-court advantage to their advantage.

Ex-Pats will be entering the TBT for the first team, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be taken seriously. This is a squad that is made up of former Patriot League players. The star of this team is Zach Thomas who was a former Patriot League Player of the year. This is a squad that has a lot of overseas experience, which is something that could be really helpful for them in this tournament. In this game, the Ex-Pats need to try and get the crowd out of it early and try to take away the home-court advantage of AfterShocks.

This is the first year for the Ex-Pats and I don’t think they are going to find much success going against AfterShocks. Look for the Ex-Pats offense to struggle in this game, and AfterShocks will come away with the cover of the spread.
