The Portland Trail Blazers play host to the Atlanta Hawks at the Moda Center on Monday night.

The Atlanta Hawks have been in a slump as they’ve lost five of their past seven games overall, but they will be eager to build some momentum after snapping a three-game skid with a 121-118 road win over the Cavaliers on Friday. Trae Young led the team with 35 points and 11 assists, Skylar Mays added 19 points while Clint Capela tallied 18 points with 23 rebounds and four blocks. As a team, the Hawks shot 44 percent from the field and 16 of 38 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble once again after trailing by as many as 16 points in the first half, before flipping the game on its head in the third quarter where they exploded for 40 points. Lou Williams had a rough shooting night as he shot just three of 12 from the field and one of six from the 3-point line while Cameron Reddish scored just two points before leaving the game with an ankle sprain.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost 11 of their past 13 games overall and they will be hoping to snap a four-game slide after getting thrashed by the Lakers in a 139-106 road loss on Friday. Ben McLemore drained six 3-pointers to lead the team with 28 points off the bench, Damian Lillard added 18 points with seven assists while Larry Nance Jr. chipped in with 13 points and nine rebounds. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 35 percent from the field and 12 of 42 from the 3-point line, but you just knew early on that this was going to be a long night after the Trail Blazers allowed 43 points in the first quarter to fall behind big early, before getting blown out in the second half where the Lakers poured in 70 points. Nassir Little finished with just two points on one of seven shooting while Dennis Smith Jr. scored just four points on two of eight shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Hawks are 7-2 ATS in their last nine road games, 0-5 ATS in their last five games following a win and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Trail Blazers are 1-8 ATS in their last nine home games, 0-5 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.

Head to head, the under is 15-7 in the last 22 meetings overall, the Hawks are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings in Portland and the Hawks are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Hawks have been dealing with a long list of players out injured but they should have a couple of reinforcements as Kevin Huerter and Cameron Reddish should be able to return. In contrast, the Trail Blazers will be seriously shorthanded for this one as Anfernee Simons, Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic are all out. The Hawks haven’t been playing anywhere near their best lately, but they just beat the Cavaliers to snap a three-game skid and they should be able to take advantage of the Trail Blazers in this spot.
