The Brooklyn Nets invade the AT&T Center to do battle with the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night.

The Brooklyn Nets have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their past nine games and they will be eager to build some momentum after sneaking past the Wizards in a 119-118 road win on Wednesday. Kyrie Irving led the team with 30 points and seven assists, LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points off the bench while James Harden tallied 19 points with eight rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the Nets shot 52 percent from the field and eight of 25 from the 3-point line as they dominated the first half to lead by as many as 16 points, before hanging on for the narrow win as the Wizards rallied to cut the lead to just one point with 36 seconds left on the clock.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in a major slump as they’ve lost 10 of their past 13 games overall, but they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Thunder in a 118-96 home win on Wednesday. Dejounte Murray led the team with a triple-double of 23 points with 10 rebounds and 14 assists, Doug McDermott added 20 points while Devin Vassell chipped in with 19 points, eight rebounds and two blocks off the bench. As a team, the Spurs shot 49 percent from the field and 15 of 40 from the 3-point line as they dominated right from the start and poured in 69 points in the first half to take the early double-digit lead, before exploding for 37 points in the third quarter to push the margin out to 34 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Spurs are 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a win of more than 10 points.

Head to head, the over is 5-0 in the last five meetings overall, the Nets are 2-7 ATS in the last nine meetings in San Antonio and the Nets are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Nets are shorthanded once again as they are without Kevin Durant, Joe Harris, Nic Claxton and Paul Millsap while the Spurs are most at full strength for this one. The Nets have been hit hard by injuries lately, but they’re still coming into this game with plenty of confidence after outlasting the Wizards in their last outing, while the Spurs were able to snap out of their funk with a massive win over the Thunder in their last outing. The Nets are only 2-7 ATS in the last nine meetings in San Antonio, so I’m going with the Spurs to pull off the minor upset at home.
