The Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors duke it out at the Chase Center on Thursday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been in a major slump as they’ve lost 11 of their last 13 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a seven-game slide after getting routed by the Suns in a 121-110 road loss on Tuesday. Russell Westbrook led the team with 28 points on 10 of 20 shooting, Anthony Davis added 21 points with 13 rebounds while Austin Reaves chipped in with 18 points and six assists off the bench. As a team, the Lakers shot just 45 percent from the field and nine of 29 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and led for most of the first half, before they got blown out in the third quarter by 35-22 to fall behind by as many as 26 points at one stage.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been in rough shape as they’ve lost seven of their past 10 games, but they will be aiming for a third straight victory after making light work of the Kings in a 109-90 road win on Sunday. Andrew Wiggins led the team in scoring with 25 points and five assists, Jordan Poole added 22 points while Nemanja Bjelica tallied 19 points with 12 rebounds and six assists off the bench. As a team, the Warriors shot 51 percent from the field and 16 of 34 from the 3-point line as they dominated this one right from the start and held the Kings to just 14 points in the first quarter to take a 20-point lead into halftime which allowed them to cruise in the second half.

Looking at the betting trends, the Lakers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine games against a team above .600. The Warriors are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games against a team below .400.

Head to head, the under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings in Golden State, the Lakers are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall and the Lakers are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Golden State.

The Lakers could be severely shorthanded in this one as Russell Westbrook, LeBron James and Anthony Davis are all listed as questionable, while the Warriors are still without Stephen Curry and they’ve listed Otto Porter Jr. as day to day. The Lakers are officially out of the playoff race now, so I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they rested all their stars for the rest of the regular season. The Warriors are a little banged up themselves and they’ve been below their best lately, but they looked great in their dominant win over the Kings on Sunday and they should be well-rested for this one. Give me the Warriors to roll to a big win and cover at home in this spot.
