The Milwaukee Bucks invade the Target Center to do battle with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.

The Milwaukee Bucks have been on fire to start the season as they’ve won their first seven games and they will be looking to stay hot after making light work of the Pistons in a 116-91 win on Wednesday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 32 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and five steals, Jrue Holiday added 26 points, seven rebounds and three assists while Jordan Nwora chipped in with 12 points off the bench. As a team, the Bucks shot 46 percent from the field and 10 of 38 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and outpaced the Pistons in every quarter, almost as if to make a statement after the Pistons were able to hang around in the last meeting on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in decent shape as they’ve split their first eight games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after getting stopped by the Suns in a 116-107 road loss on Tuesday. Karl-Anthony Towns led the way with 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, Anthony Edwards drained five 3-pointers on his way to 24 points while Naz Reid chipped in with 13 points on five of six shooting off the bench. As a team, the Timberwolves shot just 42 percent from the field and 13 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and scored just 20 points in the first quarter to trail by as many as 18 points which they could’ve ran down if not for their 16 turnovers which just kept them in check the entire game.

Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games, 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a win and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Timberwolves are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on two days’ rest.

Head to head, the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall.

The Bucks will be shorthanded once again as Pat Connaughton, Khris Middleton and Joe Ingles are still out, while Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as day to day, while the Timberwolves are sweating on the availability of Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert who are all listed as questionable. It’s always hard to predict games where both teams have key players on the injury report, but the Bucks are the lone undefeated team in the league and I think they stay undefeated at least for one more game.
