The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder collide at the Paycom Center on Sunday night.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be eager to bounce back in this one after coming up painfully short to the Jazz in a 132-126 overtime loss on Friday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 30 points on 12 of 23 shooting, Karl-Anthony Towns added 27 points while D’Angelo Russell chipped in with 23 points and seven assists. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 45 percent from the field and 11 of 33 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 41 points in the first quarter to take an early 17-point lead, but they couldn’t hold off the new-look Jazz and they couldn’t find their offense in the overtime period where they managed just six points.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder are still searching for their first win of the season as they’re now on a two-game skid after last night’s 122-117 loss to the Nuggets. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 28 points and seven assists, Josh Giddey racked up 19 points with 12 rebounds and six assists while Mike Muscala chipped in with 18 points off the bench. As a team, the Thunder shot 44 percent from the field and 15 of 38 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Nuggets until the fourth quarter where they just couldn’t get the stops to close the gap.

Looking at the betting trends, the Timberwolves are 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record, 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games against a team below .400 and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Thunder are 26-6 ATS in their last 32 Sunday games.

Head to head, the over is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings in Oklahoma City and the Timberwolves are 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings in Oklahoma City.

The Timberwolves will be so annoyed with themselves after blowing a big lead in their last game while the Thunder will feel like they let one get away after keeping pace with the Nuggets last night, only to come up just short in the end. I wouldn’t mind a play on the Thunder with the points if they weren’t playing their second game of a back to back, but as it stands, I’d lean towards the Timberwolves to bounce back with a win and cover here.
