The New York Knicks travel to the Paycom Center to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.

The New York Knicks have been in decent shape as they’ve split their last eight games, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting blown out by the Suns in a 116-95 road loss last night. Jalen Brunson led the team with a game-high 27 points on 11 of 21 shooting, RJ Barrett added 12 points while Quentin Grimes chipped in with 10 points, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Knicks shot just 40 percent from the field and seven of 25 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Suns until the second half where they got blown out by 61-42. The Knicks got beaten on the boards by 60-39 and they couldn’t find their offense in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a slump as they’ve lost six of their last nine games overall and they will be eager to bounce back after getting thrashed by the shorthanded Grizzlies in a 121-110 loss on Friday. Josh Giddey led the team with 20 points and 11 assists, Jalen Williams added 16 points with seven assists while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander chipped in with 15 points and six assists. As a team, the Thunder shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 34 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Grizzlies until the fourth quarter where they struggled to find their offense. Gilgeous-Alexander has been on fire for the team but shot just six of 18 from the field in this one.

Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 road games, 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 17-5 ATS in their last 22 games playing on zero days’ rest. The Thunder are 8-1 ATS in their last nine games playing on two days’ rest and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 7-2 in the last nine meetings overall, the Knicks are 1-7 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and the Knicks are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Oklahoma City.

The Knicks will be keeping an eye on Cam Reddish who is listed as day to day here, while the Thunder are missing Tre Mann, Aleksej Pokusevski and Darius Bazley. The Knicks should be good enough to beat a shorthanded Thunder team, but they are only 1-7 ATS in the last eight meetings against the Thunder. This should be a close one, but I’ll stick with the more reliable Thunder to get the narrow win and cover at home.
