The New Orleans Pelicans and the Phoenix Suns collide at the Footprint Center in a grudge match on Saturday night.

The New Orleans Pelicans look to have cooled off from their seven-game win streak as they are now looking to snap a two-game skid after falling just short to the Jazz in a 132-129 overtime road loss on Thursday. Zion Williamson led the way with 31 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, CJ McCollum added 28 points with six rebounds and four assists while Larry Nance Jr and Naji Marshall each scored 13 points. As a team, the Pelicans shot 47 percent from the field and 12 of 30 from the 3-point line as they squandered an eight-point lead in the fourth quarter before they managed just six points in overtime to allow the Jazz to slip away.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost six of their last eight games, but they will be eager to build some momentum after blowing past the Clippers in a 111-95 road win on Thursday. Mikal Bridges led the way with 27 points on 11 of 18 shooting, Chris Paul tallied 15 points with 13 assists while Jock Landale chipped in with 15 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Suns shot 46 percent from the field and nine of 32 from the 3-point line as they came out guns blazing and dominated the first half by 64-37 to put the game to bed early.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pelicans are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games. The Suns are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.

Head to head, the over is 16-5 in the last 21 meetings overall and the Pelicans are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Phoenix.

The Pelicans will be missing a couple of key players once again as Brandon Ingram and Jose Alverado are both out, while the Suns have ruled out DeAndre Ayton, Cameron Payne and Cameron Johnson once again. The Pelicans have won the last two meetings between these teams a week ago, but they’ve dropped two games to the Jazz since then. Meanwhile, the Suns were able to blow out the Clippers in their last game and I think they’ll be ready for the Pelicans this time round. Give me the Suns to get their revenge in a close one at home.
