The Sacramento Kings play host to the Denver Nuggets at the Golden 1 Center on Tuesday night.

The Denver Nuggets have been in red-hot form as they’ve won seven of their past eight games and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after outlasting the Suns in a 128-125 overtime win on Sunday. Nikola Jokic led the team with a monster triple-double of 41 points with 15 rebounds and 15 assists, Aaron Gordon added 28 points with 13 rebounds on 11 of 18 shooting while Jamal Murray tallied 26 points with five rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Nuggets shot 47 percent from the field and 13 of 36 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sloppy start and had to rally back from an eight-point fourth quarter deficit, before they scored the first six points in overtime to escape with the hard-fought victory.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in a decent form as they’ve won three of their past five games, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting thrashed by the Wizards in a 125-111 loss on Friday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 26 points, seven rebounds and three assists, Domantas Sabonis racked a triple-double of 20 points with 15 rebounds and 10 assists while Malik Monk chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Kings shot 44 percent from the field and 10 of 32 from the 3-point line, but they weren’t locked in defensively, especially in the second quarter where they leaked 40 points to fall behind by 18 points going into halftime. Keegan Murray had a night to forget as he finished with just three points on one of eight shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nuggets are 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Kings are 0-5 ATS in their last five games playing on three or more days rest and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a double-digit loss at home.

Head to head, the over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall, the Nuggets are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Sacramento and the Nuggets are 2-7 ATS in the last nine meetings overall.

The Nuggets are finally back to full strength and it has translated into immediate success as they’ve won seven of their last eight to sit atop the Western Conference standings. The Kings were on a nice run before they got ambushed by the lowly Wizards in an upset loss on Friday and they could be shorthanded in this one as Domantas Sabonis is listed as questionable. With that being said, I’ll stick with the surging Nuggets to get the win and cover at the short line.
