The Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings duke it out at the Golden 1 Center on Sunday night.
The Golden State Warriors have yet to fully hit their stride this season, but they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Cavaliers in a 106-101 home win on Friday. Stephen Curry led the team with 40 points and five assists on 15 of 23 shooting, Andrew Wiggins added 20 points while Jordan Poole chipped in with 18 points on six of 13 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Warriors shot 48 percent from the field and 15 of 36 from the 3-point line as they trailed for most of the game until the fourth quarter where Curry let loose with a scoring surge to carry the team over the line. Klay Thompson had a rough night as he scored just nine points on three of 13 shooting while Draymond Green scored just two points on one of five shooting.
Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in great form as they’ve won five of their past seven games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after taking down the Lakers in a 120-114 road win on Friday. De’Aaron Fox led the way with 32 points, seven rebounds and 12 assists, Domantas Sabonis added 21 points, 10 rebounds and six assists while Kevin Huerter chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Kings shot 51 percent from the field and 12 of 36 from the 3-point line as they leaked 37 points in the second quarter to trail by as many as 13 points, but they stayed focused and stole the game with 33 points in the fourth quarter behind a flurry from Fox.
Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games, 6-13-1 ATS in their last 20 games against a team with a losing record and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Kings are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a win and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall and the Warriors are 4-12 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall.
Both teams are coming into this meeting in winning momentum and without any key injuries, so we’re in for a good contest here. The Warriors have come to life with a couple of wins on the trot thanks to two monster scoring games from Curry, while the Kings have been the more consistent team who have won five of their last seven overall. The Warriors are only 4-12 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall, so I’ll lean towards the Kings with the points at home.
