The Sacramento Kings play host to the Utah Jazz at the Golden 1 Center on Friday night.

The Utah Jazz have been well below their best lately as they’ve lost six of their last 10 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after coming up short against the shorthanded Warriors in a 112-107 road loss on Wednesday. Lauri Markkanen led the team with 29 points and 16 rebounds, Jordan Clarkson added 22 points while Collin Sexton chipped in with 11 points off the bench. As a team, the Jazz shot just 40 percent from the field and 15 of 46 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates and exploded for 37 points in the first quarter to lead for most of the game, only to let it go to waste in the fourth quarter where they managed just 13 points to allow the Warriors off the hook in the end.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in decent form as they’ve won four of their past seven games and they will be eager to build some momentum after outlasting the red-hot Nuggets in a 127-126 home win on Wednesday. Malik Monk led the team with 33 points on 12 of 21 shooting off the bench, De’Aaron Fox added 31 points with 13 assists while Domantas Sabonis tallied 31 points with 10 rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Kings shot 52 percent from the field and 14 of 31 from the 3-point line as they clawed their way back from an early 19-point deficit to steal the game in the final second as Monk drained the game-winning free throw with just 0.7 seconds left on the clock.

Looking at the betting trends, the Jazz are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 16-34-1 ATS in their last 51 road games against a team with a winning home record. The Kings are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games, 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall, the Jazz are 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and the Jazz are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Sacramento.

The Jazz are coming into this one without a single player on the injury report, while the Kings are keeping an eye on Trey Lyles who is questionable with a right calf contusion. The Jazz really haven’t looked like themselves lately despite getting all their players back, but they were more than competitive in their narrow loss to the Warriors on Wednesday and pose a threat if Markkanen gets hot. The Kings are coming into this one full of confidence after beating the red-hot Nuggets in their last game and I think they can stay hot with another narrow win at home.
