The Brooklyn Nets play host to the Miami Heat at the Barclays Center on Wednesday night.

The Miami Heat have been in pretty good form as they’ve won seven of their last 11 games overall, but they will be eager to bounce back in this one after having their three-game win streak halted by the Nuggets in a 112-108 loss on Monday. Jimmy Butler led the team with 24 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, Max Strus added 23 points with seven rebounds and four assists while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Heat shot 43 percent from the field and 12 of 35 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 36 points in the first quarter to jump out to an early 11-point lead, but that lead quickly disappeared before halftime and things didn’t get much better in the second half where the Heat were just always one or two possessions behind the Nuggets.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in a rut as they’ve lost five of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting routed by the Knicks in a 124-106 road loss on Monday. Spencer Dinwiddie led the team with 28 points, Cameron Johnson added 14 points while Nic Claxton chipped in with 11 points but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Nets shot 44 percent from the field and 12 of 29 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 35 points in the second quarter to take the lead into halftime, only to get completely blown out in the second half by 66-45 to finish well short in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Heat are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. The Nets are 20-41-2 ATS in their last 63 home games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings overall and the Heat are 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings in Brooklyn.

The Heat are still dealing with a list of injuries as Kyle Lowry, Victor Oladipo and Tyler Herro are all out while Duncan Robinson is listed as questionable. The Nets currently don’t have a single player listed on the injury report, but they’ve looked poor in their last two losses and they are only 20-41-2 ATS in their last 63 home games. The Heat are 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings in Brooklyn and they’ve clearly been the more reliable and consistent team in this matchup, so I’ll stick with the Heat at the short line in this spot.
