The Utah Jazz and the Dallas Mavericks duke it out at the American Airlines Center on Tuesday night.

The Utah Jazz have gone off the boil as they’ve lost three in a row and they will be eager to stop the rot after getting beaten by the Thunder in a 129-119 road loss on Sunday. Jordan Clarkson led the team with 18 points and 12 assists, Walker Kessley and Kendrick Nunn each scored 17 points while Kelly Olynyk chipped in with 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Jazz shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 37 from the 3-point line as they struggled to find their rhythm early and were always fighting a losing battle after getting outscored by 35-20 in the first quarter. The Jazz fought hard to make it interesting in the fourth quarter, but they were never going to really challenge after falling behind by 24 points early.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been in a real funk as they’ve lost six of their last eight games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back here after coming up short against the Suns in a 130-126 loss on Sunday. Luka Doncic led the team with 34 points, nine rebounds and four assists, Kyrie Irving added 30 points with seven assists while Tim Hardaway Jr. chipped in with 21 points on six of 10 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Mavericks shot 49 percent from the field and 15 of 38 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they poured in 37 points in the second quarter to lead by eight points, only to leak 71 points in the second half to allow the Suns off the hook in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Jazz are 4-1 ATS in their last five games playing on one days rest and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Mavericks are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games, 5-20-1 ATS in their last 26 games against a team with a losing record and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall.

Head to head, the under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Dallas, the Jazz are 3-11 ATS in the last 14 meetings overall and the Jazz are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Dallas.

The Jazz are shorthanded again as they are still missing Collin Sexton, while the Mavericks are still keeping an eye on Maxi Kleber who is questionable. The Jazz haven’t been able to build any momentum lately and their confidence took another hit after dropping consecutive games to the Thunder. The Mavericks have yet to find their groove with their new lineup and they will be kicking themselves after dropping a close game to the Suns in their last outing, but I think they can snap out of their funk with a much-needed win here. The Jazz are only 3-11 ATS in the last 14 meetings overall and I’m backing that trend to continue here.
