The Los Angeles Clippers travel to the Ball Arena to do battle with the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night.

The Los Angeles Clippers have been in decent form as they’ve won four of their last seven games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after coming up painfully short to the Kings in a 176-175 double overtime loss on Friday. Kawhi Leonard led the way with 44 points on 16 of 22 shooting, Paul George added 34 points, Norman Powell added 24 points while Russell Westbrook tallied 17 points with 14 assists in his debut. As a team, the Clippers shot a sizzling 60 percent from the field and 26 of 45 from the 3-point line but they surrendered a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter which cost them in the end. Both teams were able to shoot high percentages from the field, but the Clippers committed a total of 25 turnovers which was the difference in a close one.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in fine form as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall, but they will be looking to get back to winning ways after having their four-game win streak halted by the Grizzlies in a 112-94 road loss last night. Nikola Jokic led the team with 15 points, 13 rebounds and three assists, Jeff Green added 12 points while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Christian Braun each scored 11 points, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Nuggets shot just 40 percent from the field and 11 of 37 from the 3-point line as they were flat coming out of the gates and struggled for three quarters to trail by as many as 35 points before they finished with a flurry in the fourth quarter to keep the scores more respectable.

Looking at the betting trends, the Clippers are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team above .600 and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games playing on one days rest. The Nuggets are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 home games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the under is 38-16-2 in the last 56 meetings overall and the Clippers are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings overall.

The Clippers are shorthanded for this one as Ivica Zubac is out again, while the Nuggets will again be missing Aaron Gordon and Zeke Nnaji. The Clippers were on a nice run before they got stopped by the Kings in a heartbreaking loss on Friday, while the Nuggets had reeled off four straight wins before they ran into the Grizzlies last night. These two squads always play hard against each other and It’s tempting to take the Nuggets at the short line at home, but the Clippers have the advantage of extra rest and I think they can bounce back with a gritty upset win in this spot.
