The Minnesota Timberwolves travel to the Chase Center to do battle with the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been in decent shape as they’ve split their last six games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Hawks in a 125-124 home win on Wednesday. Naz Reid led the team with 26 points off the bench, Jaden McDaniels added 25 points six rebounds and four assists while Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in with 22 points on eight of 18 shooting. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 26 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble when they trailed by 11 points in the third quarter, before they rallied back to snatch the game from the jaws of defeat to escape with the unlikely victory.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been in fine form as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after sneaking past the 76ers in a 120-112 home win on Friday. Jordan Poole led the team with 33 points on 10 of 19 shooting off the bench, Stephen Curry added 29 points with eight rebounds and three assists while Klay Thompson chipped in with 21 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 47 percent from the field and 18 of 50 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble when they allowed 35 points in the third quarter to fall behind by 11 points, before they exploded for 41 points in the fourth quarter to pull off the solid victory.

Looking at the betting trends, the Timberwolves are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games against a team with a winning record and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a win. The Warriors are 37-14-1 ATS in their last 52 home games and 6-0 ATS in their last six home games against a team with a losing road record.

Head to head, the over is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings overall and the Timberwolves are 1-9-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Golden State.

The Timberwolves are shorthanded here as Anthony Edwards is out and Karl-Anthony Towns is questionable, while the Warriors are still missing Andrew Wiggins and Ty Jerome, but they could have Gary Payton in the lineup for his first game since being traded. The Timberwolves are coming into this game with plenty of momentum with Towns back in the lineup, but the Warriors are starting to heat up again and I think they should be too good at home. The Timberwolves are only 1-9-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Golden State and I think that trend continues here as the Warriors get the job done.
